Coronary artery disease (CAD)
Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a long-term sickness that affects the coronary arteries in your heart. The build-up of cholesterol inside of the arteries keeps the blood from getting to the heart and may lead to heart failure.
Some symptoms of coronary artery disease are:
- Chest pressure and/or pain with activity or when at rest
- Heartburn
- Nausea and/or vomiting
- Shortness of breath
- Heavy sweating
It is also possible to have no symptoms. That is why it is so important to have regular check-ups with your doctor.
If you are a member with CAD, call the AmeriHealth Caritas care management department to sign up for the program. The number is 1-877-693-8271, option 2. Call to speak to a care manager today. We want to help you live a healthy life.
